Motherhood is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It is constant learning, adjusting, giving, worrying, listening, and the list goes on. Sometimes I find myself in tears wondering how I could feel so unfufilled in something I’ve longed for since I was 5-years-old. And then other times I am so full of love and joy that I can barely contain it. I’ve collected some of my favorite uplifting quotes for moms that will make you smile in the midst of the harder days.

The truth is, motherhood is hard because it’s hard. And that’s just that. It’s not hard because of who you or your children are.

12 Uplifting Quotes for Moms

“Having children is my greatest achievement. It was my savior. It switched my focus from the outside to the inside. My children are gifts, they remind me of what’s important.” – Elle Macpherson

“The days are long but the years are short.” – Gretchen Rubin

“Don’t let your struggle become your identity.” – Joshua Hook

“There is no way to be a perfect mother, but a million ways to be a good one.” – Jill Churchhill

“Successful mothers are not the ones that never struggled. They are the ones that never give up, despite the struggles.” – Sharon Jaynes

“To all mothers in every circumstance, including those who struggle, I say, ‘Be peaceful. Believe in God and yourself. You are doing better than you think you are.’” — Jeffrey R. Holland

I know it’s hard mama. I know it can be hard to get up every day and have these little people rely on you. I know it’s hard to feel like sometimes your world is so small. I want to remind you, you are the world. You are the world that those little ones revolve around. You are their nurture, their home, and their comfort. You are everything to them, and I hope even on your hard days you know how special you are. Especially to your little people.” -Unkown

Quotes continued..

“Being a mother is learning about strengths you didn’t know you had, and dealing with fears you didn’t know existed.” – Nishan Panwar

“Motherhood is a choice you make every day, to put someone else’s happiness and well-being ahead of your own. To teach the hard lessons, to do the right thing, even when you’re not sure what the right thing is…And to forgive yourself over and over again for doing everything wrong.” – Donna Ball

“Can you remember who you were before the world told you who you should be? – Unknown

“In the end, I’m the only one who can give my children a happy mother who loves life.” – Janene Wolsey Baadsgard

“If you want to change the world, go home and love your family.” – Mother Teresa

I hope that some of these make you smile mama. You’re not alone. I see you. Finally, I would like to share a few other uplifting posts I have on the blog.
