With families staying home more often than before, self-care is more important now than ever before. Here are 35 self-care ideas for mindfulness and wellness. 

Taking a break does not make you selfish or weak, and you should make time for yourself daily. To pour into your family means you must first pour into yourself.

35 Self-Care Ideas for Mindfulness and Wellness

Below is a list of 35 self-care ideas you can start doing today for better mindfulness and wellness:

  1. Spend 5-10 minutes meditating in the morning
  2. Have a spa day
  3. Observe the Sabbath weekly (or have a day of rest)
  4. Take a bath with your favorite natural bath salts or essential oils
  5. Read a book for pleasure and entertainment
  6. Listen to a good podcast
  7. Go on a walk
  8. Watch your favorite movie or tv series
  9. Learn a new skill or take a course that sparks an interest
  10. Get a massage
  11. Take a class at the local library or art studio
  12. Listen to your favorite mood-boosting music
  13. Paint your nails
  14. Start journaling

  1. Take a social media hiatus
  2. Sleep in and relax
  3. Be sure to eat a nourishing meal
  4. Exercise for 20-30 minutes
  5. Call or video chat with a friend
  6. Speak life into yourself with positive affirmations
